Bill Kreider

Bill Kreider was a loving husband, a devoted father and grandfather, a remarkable person and an awesome friend! He was also a great brother and his siblings were very fortunate to have him in their lives. He loved going up to the mountains to go hunting, fishing or just to hang out with family and friends. He was a Duke Blue Devil and Penn State sports fan. He loved watching college basketball whenever he could. Bill was an excellent basketball and volleyball player in his day. He was a hard worker, who showed up for work every day as a construction worker/carpenter. He took pride in his work, making even the worst working conditions fun. People that knew Bill, still talk about the pranks he used to pull on them. Bill enjoyed life to the fullest and cherished spending time with his family and friends. He was a great person who would take his shirt of his back to help someone else. He has given us many priceless memories that will last a life time. Thank you Bill!

Many of us have lost loved ones to cancer and we are unfortunately part of that community.  Bill Kreider lost his courageous battle with brain cancer at the age of 57 and passed away on January 10, 2010. Dave Kopp was diagnosed with stomach cancer in September 2010 at the age of 40 and passed away after a hard-fought 6 month battle on March 27, 2011.

Losing a dear family member and close friend within a 15 month time frame was painful and we knew that something good had to come from it, so the Kreider-Kopp Memorial Fund was born, in honor of Bill and Dave.

Dave Kopp

Dave was a loving husband, a devoted father, a remarkable son and an awesome friend! He was a passionate Philadelphia and Penn State sports fan, including an Eagles season ticket holder for 17 seasons and followed every single sports team with great dedication. Dave was an excellent softball player and the undisputed king of ghetto quoites. He was a hard worker, who showed up for work everyday as a Plumber/Pipefitter and took pride in his work, making even the worst working conditions fun. Dave enjoyed life to the fullest and cherished spending time with his family and friends. He was a tremendous person who put smiles on our faces, made us laugh until our stomachs hurt and gave us many priceless memories that will last a life time. Thank you Dave!
